The federal affordability program supports no-cost retrofits for some Quebec households. Understand funding, eligibility and delivery before acting.
What the program funds
The Canada Greener Homes Affordability Program targets low-to-median-income homeowners and tenants. It uses a direct-install model: the delivery organization plans and completes eligible upgrades at no cost to the selected household.
Quebec delivery
In June 2026, Ottawa announced $172.5 million in federal funding, combined with Quebec and Hydro‑Québec contributions for a stated total of $243.5 million. The announced goal is to assist about 25,000 Quebec households with measures that may include heat pumps, windows, doors and smart thermostats.
The next check
Confirm the delivery organization, income criteria, housing type and available measures. Do not merge this process with LogisVert or the new national rebate: each program has separate rules.
